Early this morning, while you were sleeping, Katy B was off at some fancy estate in the middle of nowhere, partying with some blue bloods who like to don ornate masks and have aristocratic Eyes Wide Shut sex. Well, okay — there’s no actual bumping of uglies to be seen in the clip for ’90s house throwback “5 AM,” but the references here to said 1999 Stanley Kubrick erotic thriller are undeniable. Major props to the costume department and set decorator.
Let’s just be glad Katy appears to escape from this bizarre freak fest at the end with her dress still on and without a Phantom Of The Opera mask stuck in her bra.
“5 AM” is the second single to be released from Katy B’s upcoming, yet-to-be-titled sophomore album.
