Cher conquered clubs from San Francisco to Siberia with “Woman’s World” but the iconic diva shows a softer side on Closer To The Truth — delighting with beautiful ballads and even a splash of country. Take “Will You Wait For Me”. It’s one of the 67-year-old sex symbol’s best ballads, which makes its relegation to Target bonus track status all the more surprising.

Produced by Billy Man, the heartfelt love song finds Cher in a desperate mood. “Nobody said that it was easy to love, I know you want to run,” admits the goddess of all things before pleading: “fear’s not half as strong as destiny. Wait for me. Will you wait for me?” Listen to the gorgeous ballad after the jump.
