Kendrick Lamar promised to lyrically “murder” his peers in his epic “Control” verse, a warning shot that put guys like Drake and J. Cole in the crosshairs. The aftershocks are still being felt in the hip-hop world months later, and it’s only going to get messier with this latest rumbling. In his BET Hip-Hop Awards Cypher verse — it doesn’t air until October 15, but a snippet has hit the Web — K-Dot calls out Drizzy once again.

“And nothin’ been the same since they dropped ‘Control’ / And tucked a sensitive rapper back in his pajama clothes / Ha-ha, jokes on you, high-five, I’m bulletproof / Your shit’s a never penetrate, pin the tail on the donkey, boy you been a fake,” Kendrick raps in the snippet. This comes after Drake has been downplaying the impact of Lamar’s initial “Control” challenge, expressing disappointment and assuring everyone that Kendrick isn’t murdering him “at all, in any platform.”

This all has an added layer of drama when you remember that Lamar was featured on Drake’s Take Care, well before the Compton MC was a known quantity. Head below to see K-Dot’s latest Drake diss.
