Lorde continues her talk show trek as she promotes her stunning debut album Pure Heroine (released on September 27), performing her signature song “Royals.” Her latest appearance was on The Ellen Degeneres Show today (October 9), where she gave a chilled-out rendition of the anti-pop anthem.
The New Zealand teen singer is quickly making a name for herself: “Royals” is currently sitting pretty at the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 — wrecking Miley Cyrus‘ “Wrecking Ball” — and she’s increasingly speaking her mind about the state of pop music, angry Twitter hordes be damned.
