Lady Gaga Reveals ‘ARTPOP’ Tracklist & Drops “Aura” Lyric Video

Lady Gaga has released ARTPOP track “Aura” via lyric video, and perhaps disappointingly, the video is a tie-in with Machete Kills (Gaga’s in the movie, and the latest trailer featured a snippet of “Aura”). And this means there’s plenty of dialogue from the film spliced in with the song. So, yeah, we’ve yet to officially hear the official album version of the song. As we heard on the various demos and leaks, though, “Aura” is all over the place. The intro is all campy Western, the verses whacked-out electro and the chorus finds Gaga returning to the anthemic pop she does best.

Gaga also revealed the ARTPOP tracklist through a graffiti mural by her “most dedicated Los Angeles fans” which she commissioned. The whole thing is 15 tracks, so it looks like she scrapped the two-volume pop/experimental idea. “Aura” opens things up and “Applause” closes the album, with those iTunes Festival songs in the middle, including “Sexxx Dreams,” “MANiCURE,” “Jewels N’ Drugs” and “Swine.”

Other tidbits to note: long-rumored “G.U.Y.” made the cut, Rick Rubin co-produced “Dope” and R. Kelly is featured on “Do What U Want.”

I’m excited – don’t get me wrong. But seriously GaGa stop it with the feaux promises. Remember when she was all like “‘Born This Way’ might have like 25 songs” ?

Either that or the record labels just need to not be greedy…

      what fake promises tho hahah

I’ve heard the demo version so many times, it’s as if I myself have produced it, and what I have to say is this:
The music’s the exact same as the demo.
If you pay attention to her vocals in the verses, you’ll notice they’ve been pitched up and down to sound different from the demo’s, plus there are parts missing of the song.
I really feel this is not the official official version, with both Gaga and Zedd stating that the final version sounds different than the demo. Or is this statement a defense from its leak?

    Looking forward to this album!
