Jonas Brothers Break Their Silence About Split Rumors
After canceling their tour in a last-minute haste, rumors of the Jonas Brothers breaking up immediately began making its rounds. Once the band’s Twitter page was deactivated, the rumored split was assumed to be a reality. The surprising news came after the announcement of the boys’ next single “What Do I Mean To You” as well as their upcoming fifth album release, but the LP’s fate is a toss-up at this point. Now, Joe and Nick Jonas have spoken up in the midst of all the confusion.
Joe asked fans to be patient as they “get [their] shit together.” His younger brother Nick followed with a simple tweet: “Bear with us.” The eldest brother, Kevin, has yet to comment. The cause of the tour cancellation was summed up by their spokesperson Jesse Derris as a deep rift, where “there was a big disagreement over their music direction.”
