Eminem’s Rihanna-Assisted “The Monster” To Be Released As Official Single Next Week
Eminem is looking to repeat the chart success of his 2010 Rihanna collaboration, “Love The Way You Lie,” by teaming up with the singer again on his next single off The Marshall Mathers LP 2. No, she’s not hopping onto a radio version of “Rap God” — RiRi is featured on “The Monster,” which will impact radios Monday (October 28).
This is somewhat surprising, since “Rap God” received a robust online release and was poised to be the album’s next official cut. But, considering that song’s six-minute runtime, its rampant usage of homophobic slurs and its focus on lyricism over melodicism, the decision makes sense.
