Remember Jasmine V? You know, the plucky teen that got her big break appearing in Justin Bieber‘s “Baby” video and then delighted with catchy pop songs of her own like “Werk” and “Jealous”? Well, she recently signed to Interscope and is working on new material but appeased thirsty Jasminators by sharing a scrapped video for 2011 single “Masquerade”.

A surprisingly mature R&B-infused pop track (think vintage JoJo) that showcases Jasmine’s powerful pipes nicely, “Masquerade” didn’t need a flashy video to garner attention. Instead, they focused on the 19-year-old’s expressive face and building atmosphere with different lenses. It’s simple but effective. Now it’s time for some new music, please. I can’t keep playing “Paint A Smile” on repeat.

Are you excited to hear new music from Jasmine V? Let us know in the comments below.
