Guy Sebastian Goes Dance On Excellent New Single “Like A Drum”: Listen

Oct 24th, 2013 // 5 Comments

Guy Sebastian debuted the artwork for new single “Like A Drum” earlier this week. The 31-year-old looked pretty glum on the cover, so I expected something serious and hard-hitting. As it turns out, the track — out today in his native Australia — is an infectious soul-meets-dance gem in the tradition of Avicii‘s “Wake Me Up”. Go figure!

No doubt, the inaugural Australian Idol winner is hoping to capitalize on the success of Lupe Fiasco-assisted breakthrough hit “Battle Scars” and he should find a lot of love from radio programmers with this. “Like A Drum” expertly taps into the electro-house craze but still serves up an easily digestible chorus and showcases Guy’s soulful pipes. Listen to the future hit after the jump.
