Celine Dion’s ‘Loved Me Back To Life’: Stream The Diva’s Triumphant Comeback Album

Celine Dion bravely attempted to switch up her trademark ballad-heavy sound by working with a slew of contemporary producers (The-Dream, Tricky Stewart, Chuck Harmony and Ben Moody) on 2007’s Taking Chances. Despite producing a handful of gems, the experiment was largely unsuccessful. Six years later, the Canadian superstar tries the same trick again and, happily, gets the formula just right.

Loved Me Back To Life finds a creatively revitalized Dion. She not only continues to broaden her horizons production-wise, but also tests herself vocally — showing unusual restraint and good judgement about when to pull the trigger. The result is the diva’s most current and convincing LP since 2002’s A New Day Has Come.

Highlights include impressive Ne-Yo duet “Incredible” (keep your fingers crossed for radio play), rock-lite gem “Breakaway” (not a Kelly Clarkson cover) and irresistibly catchy mid-tempo pop song “Thank You”. Of course, there are lashings of adult contemporary ballads for the faithful but Celine does a stellar job of mixing it up. Stream the album after the jump.
