Sky Ferreira Talks Dream Collaborators In ‘Rolling Stone’ Q&A: Paris Hilton, Cher, Courtney Stodden

Well, Sky Ferreira‘s album finally dropped this week, and the much-discussed songstress has done a string of bracingly honest and revealing interviews to promote the record — the latest of which is with Rolling Stone. Much of the ground covered is well-trod (she must be so terribly sick of talking about that drug arrest), but there are a few notable quotes to be found here — in particular, Sky on other people.

Her list of dream collaborators is unsurprisingly eclectic, like a dream high/low mash-up: She references French electro luminaries like Air and Daft Punk, with whom she says she hopes she can make a record, but there’s a few other noteworthy candidates, too: “Paris Hilton has tweeted at me and she’s totally cool, I’d love to write a song for her,” she says. “And Courtney Stodden! I would totally do something with Courtney Stodden.” Sounds like a good time, in this reality or any other.

She adds: “Cher! I would love to work with Cher on everything. She’s literally a goddess and had been in the game forever.” All accurate, all insightful, all excellent. Sky Ferreira, everyone: Arbiter of fine taste.

She also expands a little on her relationship with Miley Cyrus, explaining that they struck up a fond Twitter kinship: “She’s really smart,” Sky says. “People are totally fucking with her. It was nice to be around someone who wasn’t competitive — girls can be so competitive — or worried about how to act. She didn’t care about who I was, someone who wasn’t judging me for once.”

And that’s that. Read the whole Q&A over at Rolling Stone.
