Justin Bieber is a pretty good judge of talent. After all, he helped bring amazing pop stars like Cody Simpson and Carly Rae Jepsen to the world’s attention! The latest act to get the Canadian’s much sought-after seal of approval? 14-year-old X Factor Australia contestant Jai Waetford.

After watching some of the teen’s performances on YouTube, Justin jumped on Instagram yesterday (October 31) to give Jai some kind words of encouragement. “Make the music you want to make Jai Waetford god has really blessed you,” he wrote. “I’m a fan and I haven’t been impressed like this in a very long time.” Could Scooter Braun have a new client?

The Campbelltown student failed to win X Factor — that honor went to Dami Im — but he’s definitely making waves. His debut single “Your Eyes” just hit Australian iTunes and is already racing towards the top 10. Produced by local hitmaker Louis Schoorl, the sugary hit of bubblegum pop is pretty irresistible.
