Justin Bieber Had A “Bad Day”: Listen
It’s Monday, and Justin Bieber has dropped the appropriately titled “Bad Day” to get you through this nightmare. This #MusicMondays halfway point is another fine installment in the series. As with the previous four tracks, the star channels his tender R&B side, and like “All That Matters,” it’s easy to assume this is about his Selena Gomez breakup.
With just an acoustic guitar and spare drums, the production gets out of the way on this one, focusing instead on Bieber’s revealing lyrics: “And that moment was so hard for me to breathe / And you took away the biggest part of me.” The chorus finds Bieber flexing his falsetto, with background whoas to intensify the sense of loss — and then the song fades out leaving you wanting more.
