Watch J. Cole Perform “Crooked Smile” With A String Section On ‘Letterman’
J. Cole is still getting mileage out of “Crooked Smile,” off his smash Born Sinner, and one would think he’ll continue to get mileage out of it for years to come, since it’s uplifting without crossing over into cheez territory, and it features the forever-loved TLC. Last night (November 5), Cole performed the track on the Late Show with David Letterman. In fact, Cole actually did a 40-minute set as part of the Live on Letterman series (The Wanted recently did the same), but “Crooked Smile” was the standout thanks to the emotional heft added by a string quartet.
