Ilia Darlin is rising LA-based, Greek-born pop star who broke through this summer with demented electro-anthem “We Do What We Like”. We invited her into the Idolator studio to belt out that song live but also asked if she would be interested in performing a cover and, somewhat surprisingly, she chose Jay Z‘s meandering Nirvana-sampling “Holy Grail”.
It represented something of a genre change for the dance-pop diva but she fearlessly tackled Justin Timberlake‘s vocal, showcasing the full extent of her talent and innate ability to rearrange songs. If you need any further convincing that Ilia belongs on your pop radar, watch her in action up top.
