Lady Gaga has been running herself ragged promoting ARTPOP here and there and everywhere in between, but she’s just given the most revealing interview of this era to Howard Stern on his radio show earlier today. In the sprawling, candid interview, which runs nearly two hours long, Mother Monster covers a variety of topics — from her high-profile feud with Perez Hilton to competing with Madonna to her use of drugs to her boyfriend Taylor Kinney and a whole bunch of other stuff.

The whole thing is well worth a listen, but some highlights include her explanation for her supposed feud with Madonna: “I think she’s more aggravated that I’m not upset that she doesn’t like me — cause I don’t care that she doesn’t like me,” Gaga said. “There’s always this pissing match. ‘Did she take her torch? Is she the new her? Is she gonna outlast her or not?”

She continued: “There’s a thing with some people that I’m a thread to the throne…and I don’t want your fucking throne.” Welp, so much for that.

On the subject of Hilton (#JusticeForBionic), Gaga explained that the celebrity blogger asked her mean questions during an interview: “I looked at him and said, ‘Just because you are who you are does not mean that our friendship doesn’t mean anything when the cameras turn on. So now I see who you really are.’ And I was done after that,” she said. “And he’s just mad that I don’t want to hang out anymore. I don’t want to be around fake people. I really believed, when I first met him, that he wanted to change. I really believed that he wanted to bully people less on his site and that he wanted to move into a more positive space. I was really there for him and I really supported him.”

She also discussed how she makes her relationship work on the road and continued to unpack her tortured relationship with cannabis: “It seems that young people think that you can’t be addicted to it, but you can. And I couldn’t live without it. I mean, I would wake up at five in the morning, smoke, go back to sleep,” she said. A PSA courtesy of Lady Gaga: Marijuana can, in fact, be addictive.
