Britney Spears Covers ‘Vegas Player’ Magazine, Talks Upcoming Residency

Britney Spears has taken the cover of venerable print publication Vegas Player (second only to the New York Times! Haha, just kidding, it’s the Caesars house magazine) to talk about a litany of subjects — primarily how she stays #fit, and also what she has planned for her upcoming Vegas residency. (She doesn’t talk about Britney Jean at all, which is a little bit annoying, but hey — focus.)

As it so happens, Spears is a fan of Sin City: “Las Vegas is a fun place,” she says. “There is so much going on. The energy here is incredible. You feel it walking through the casino. Everybody is here to have a good time.”

She also explained that because there’s it’s not a typical tour, she wants to do something “different”: “This is the perfect place to bring it to the next level.” It’s comforting to know that she’s on board with that — after all, why do it in Vegas unless you’re going all out?

Given that Spears is one of the most photographed people of the decade, you might expect that she would have gotten used to it by now, but she says that she’s actually shy and just wants to stay out of their way: “I don’t like having my picture taken. I don’t like the attention, but it’s something that comes with success. I’ve accepted the paparazzi are going to be there; I just try to wear the same thing every day so I become uninteresting.”

Viva Las Vegas, Britney!
