David Bowie’s NSFW, Sex- And Graphics-Filled “Love Is Lost” Video: Watch

On Halloween, David Bowie premiered a wonderfully bizarre, puppet-filled video for for James Murphy‘s “Hello Steve Reich Mix Edit” of “Love Is Lost,” the latest single off The Thin White Duke’s LP The Next Day (which has now been re-released in deluxe form). The visual was shot in Bowie’s Manhattan office space by the music legend himself, and cost a grand total of $12.99 to make.

Two weeks later, we now have an entirely different (NSFW) video to accompany Murphy’s full, 10-and-a-half-minute remix of the song. Two computer generated figures — a man and a woman — are created in this clip, seemingly only to have a brief sexual encounter before they begin to disintegrate. Sounds like a simple concept, but it’s an utterly fascinating watch — one you can catch above.
