Lady Gaga Talks Returning To ‘The Fame,’ Cuts Ribbon At H&M: Watch

Lady Gaga has been promo-ing herself into the ground this week as ARTPOP hits retailers, but she made an extra-special stop in New York City last night at the opening of a flagship H&M in Times Square, where she cut the ribbon to inaugurate the new store, posed next to some mannequins (#fashion!) and talked with reporters about how the new record sees her returning to The Fame.

It’s a sentiment that critics have voiced — thematically, ARTPOP bears more in common with her debut than anything she’s released since — but she seemed sincerely pleased to discuss the tones of the record and how her experience has shifted over the last several years.

It’s also worth noting that it was freezing cold in New York yesterday, so the thousands of fans who traversed the tundra to see her? Serious dedication, Little Monsters.

Watch her interview below, as well as a clip of her dramatic arrival in Times Square (by ARTPOP bus, obviously — because there’s no other way to travel).
