South African songstress Nikki Williams broke out big this year with her debut single, the Sia-penned torch ballad “Kill, Fuck, Marry,” and nabbed a dance smash with her house track “Glowing” — and she’s showing just how diverse she can be on her new single “Thank God It’s Friday,” which sees her serving up some doo-wop throwback funk.
It sounds like a ’50s jukebox soundtrack, turned up with busy, fizzy production and references to Henny in your cup — which makes it a more than fitting track for the party-happy siren.
