Eminem Sits (To Pee) For BBC Radio 1 Interview With Zane Lowe: Watch A Preview

Eminem knew that he faced daunting expectations when he sat down with Zane Lowe for an interview, as a new preview shows.

Earlier this fall, the BBC Radio 1 host chatted at length with Kanye West about his new album Yeezus, his trademark “rants” and how Fendi rejected his initial designs for leather jogging pants. The trailer showed how, without warning, West can segue from joking about flip flops to yelling of how rappers are the new rock stars.

How can Eminem top West, who was promptly parodied by late-night host Jimmy Kimmel with the help of a child impersonator? “I was trying to figure out how I was going to top the publicity of yours and Kanye’s interview,” he said. So I decided that I was just going to walk in here and pee on the floor and leave.”

His mouth agape, he pauses and stares blankly ahead. “I’m peeing right now.”

He pauses again, then gets up. “Alright, see you guys later.”

As he made clear in an all-caps Twitter response directed as Kimmel, West resented being portrayed as a child. Eminem, MTV EMA Global Icon? Likely, not so much.

BBC Radio 1’s interview with Eminem airs Nov. 18 at 9 p.m. GMT. Watch the trailer up top.
