Lana Del Rey‘s Tropico short film has an official trailer, and it’s got everything! The one-minute clip starts out with the singer speaking with co-star Shaun Ross, as his character reassures her, “You know it’s not gonna always be this way, right?” After telling her to “just chill,” there’s a flurry of images, most of them involving Sad Lana — we caught her with teardrop face tattoos, eating ice cream in a supermarket, blowing bubbles, pole dancing, chomping an apple in a probable Garden of Eden reference… plus there are guns, pasties and more guns. It doesn’t give away much in terms of a plot, but it’s certainly effective.

The 30-minute film is directed by Anthony Mandler and is “a tale of redemption told to the music of ‘Body Electric,’ ‘Gods and Monsters’ and ‘Bel Air'” from her excellent Paradise release. The film will be released December 5 as part of The Tropico EP, which is a digital bundle comprising the short and its three songs.
