Haim Rock Out To “The Wire” And “Don’t Save Me” On ‘SNL’: Watch

Haim made their Saturday Night Live debut this evening (November 23) and cemented their status as one of the hottest bands of 2013 with a rollicking rendition of breakthrough hit “The Wire” (above). After a tiny stumble at the beginning, the sisters eventually found their groove and, no doubt, won an army of new fans.

The band’s musicianship is beyond repute after years of endless live performances and the ladies’ harmonies were as sharp as ever. There was a momentary sound issue at the beginning but it was quickly resolved. It was great seeing Este’s now iconic bass face on TV and they reminded us that “The Wire” is one hell of a tune.

Later in the show, Haim returned to perform 2012 calling “Don’t Save Me”. The track has been out for nearly two years but is still a heady four-minute hit of sparkling Californian pop/rock. There were no audio glitches this time around and the band seemed more at ease. Watch them rock out after the jump.
