COIN’s Cover Of Simon & Garfunkel’s “Cecilia”: Idolator Premiere

Up-and-comers COIN came together because, as stated on their website, they felt everything was too serious. To lighten things up, the Nashville quartet honed an upbeat sound that’s part pop, part rock and 100% feelgood. They even put their smile-inducing stamp on Simon & Garfunkel’s 1970 hit “Cecilia.” Why take on that classic in particular? Let’s let them explain.

“I guess every set needs a good cover,” COIN’s Chase Lawrence tells Idolator. “Five hours, a couple Talking Heads songs, and a few passes of ‘Higher Love’ later, we settled on this Simon & Garfunkel song. It kind if chose itself and we’re all big fans of their music.”

Can’t go wrong with Simon & Garfunkel…or free music. Head below to give COIN’s rendition of “Cecilia” a spin, then follow the link to download the song for free.
