Lady Gaga For Versace: See The First (Stunning) Ads
As the new face of Versace, Lady Gaga looks nearly identical to the designer herself.
In one ad (above), she wears two oversized Medusa head pendants at her neck and waist, over an update of “That Dress” famously worn by actress Elizabeth Hurley. (It should also look familiar to those who watched this year’s American Music Awards. Versace provided every outfit Gaga wore to the show, including a similar gown that she wore on the red carpet.) In another, she wears black as she holds up a sleek handbag. In both though, Gaga’s boldest accessory may actually be her long blond wig, so that she bears a stunning resemblance to Donatella Versace.
The wig drives home what the designer has said of the ARTPOP diva, friend and collaborator since 2011’s “Edge of Glory.” “She is like family to me, the embodiment of the Versace DNA,” Versace has said.
