Bon Jovi‘s “Livin’ On A Prayer” has been covered by Alvin & The Chipmunks and the cast of Glee, but one person the New Jersey band probably never expected to see belting the 1986 pop-rock anthem out on stage is the Duke Of Cambridge. Prince William was coaxed up to the mic by Jon Bon Jovi and Taylor Swift at London’s Kensington Palace on Monday evening, during Centrepoint’s Winter Whites Gala charity event. Bon Jovi, Swift, James Blunt and Tinie Tempah all gave performances to benefit homeless youth.

Above you’ll see the night’s big watercooler moment, where recent American Music Awards winner Swift and Prince William provide backup on “Livin’ On A Prayer” and share a celebratory high-give after they nail the first round of the chorus.

During her own set, Taylor introduced her hit “Love Story” by saying, “This has reference to palaces, princes and princesses and it is very strange that I end up playing it in a palace.”
