Justin Timberlake’s “TKO” Remix Featuring J. Cole, A$AP Rocky & Pusha T: Listen

While Justin Timberlake‘s “TKO” rued and reeled of how a love tortures him, a new remix featuring J. Cole, A$AP Rocky and Pusha T plays out as a swift recovery.

As the veteran (and past collaborator), Pusha T raps last and as if reclining into a chair as a confident CEO. He actually calls himself a “real-lionaire,” and he claims to dress his woman like a Build-A-Bear. In the verse before Pusha’s, A$AP Rocky set him up for success as he built momentum through a series of rhymes of refusing to be monogamous.

But in the one before his, J. Cole delivers the best of all. He responds to Kendrick Lamar‘s “Control” verse, but not just as one of the emcees who Lamar called out. Instead, as if hunched over, he imagines himself alone and hearing the good kid‘s bars in his mind, only to realize that he’s actually hearing them from his girl’s phone. He hyperventilates to the hyperactive tune of Migos“Versace,” then sobs.

He sounds pissed, pathetic and, most importantly, at a breaking point that most rappers wouldn’t dare approach now. Hear Justin Timberlake’s “TKO” remix unfold after the jump.
