Robin Thicke Teams Up With Ron Burgundy For Hilarious Disco Anthem “Ride Like The Wind”: Listen

Forget about that Shakira/Rihanna duet! Two bigger sex symbols have joined forces, forever raising the bar for high-profile collaborations. Of course, I’m talking about  Robin Thicke and Ron Burgundy. The unlikely duo recorded a sprawling disco anthem for the Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues soundtrack and it’s a triumph.

“Ride Like The Wind” should have been on Blurred Lines. The slick ’70s groove is perfect for Robin’s whiskey-drenched vocals and he somehow pulls off the (intentionally) cliche, era-appropriate lyrics without sounding ridiculous. That album’s loss is Will Ferrell‘s gain and he sprinkles the track with hilarious Ron Burgundy-isms.

An example? “I was born the son of a lawless man,” croons the “Give It 2 U” hitmaker over a throbbing bass-line. To which TV’s grooviest anchorman replies: “You mean Alan Thicke?” It just gets better from there. Take a listen after the jump.
