Betty Who was one of 2013’s breakout stars — with the viral success of “Somebody Loves You,” a high-profile signing to RCA Records and one of the year’s best EPs with The Movement — so what was on heavy rotation Chez Who while the New York-based songstress was at her creative peak?

Betty took a moment out from her busy schedule of hitting the studio and watching One Tree Hill to share her favorite LP of the year with us — which she did in the style of her favorite artist, explaining in a note: “I DID IT IN THE FASHION OF DRAKE AKA SWEATPANTS HAIR TIED CHILLIN W NO MAKEUP ON CUZ THATS WHEN IM THE PRETTIEST I HOPE THAT YOU DONT TAKE IT WRONG.”

That’s right — she cites Drake‘s Nothing Was The Same as her album of the year, explaining, “Drake is a genius. I think that his verses on some of those songs are so great, and so intelligent, and flow so well. I think he covers a lot emotionally on the album, which I really love.”

Most crucially, though, she makes one very important thing clear: “Also, he could get it.”

Betty Who, ladies and gentlemen. Watch her talk about the album up top.
