Demi Lovato turned the lights down and got turnt up in the video for her latest Demi single “Neon Lights” — but how exactly did they execute her blacklit, neon-hued look? A little behind-the-scenes featurette focusing on Lovato’s makeup artist Jill Powell is illuminating (!), as she offers some helpful tips and tricks on how to get a similar look. (Not that you necessarily want to go to work wearing bright neon eye shadow, but y’know.)
Powell also reveals that the entire video concept was Demi’s idea from the ground up — which makes the high-octane execution of the clip all the more impressive, no?
