Justin Bieber Previews ‘Journals’ Tracks “Swap It Out,” “One Life” & “What’s Hatnin'”: Listen
Justin Bieber took to Instagram to preview three of Journals‘ five new tracks, posting a 15-second snippet each for “Swap It Out,” “One Life” and “What’s Hatnin'” featuring Future. “Swap It Out” is a finger-snapping R&B jam, which he highlighted in the caption as his favorite — though we don’t know if he means of this trio or of the whole compilation (which now has a December 23 release).
“One Life” seems to be another hazy ballad, with Bieber’s falsetto merging with the atmospheric synth pads. Meanwhile, “What’s Hatnin'” is the most aggressive song we’ve heard so far from the Journals/MusicMondays material, with Bieber in full-on swaggy mode, as Future does whatever it is we’re calling what he does.
