Shakira To Release New Single In January, With New Album Set For Early 2014
Sony Music announced that Shakira will release the lead single to her next album in January. Neither the song nor the LP has a title yet, but the singer is currently in the studio working on her Sale El Sol follow-up, which is expected to drop in early 2014 and is dedicated to her partner and father of her son, Gerard Piqué.
Oh, and it probably contains a collab with Rihanna!
Shakira earlier this month announced that the single’s video is directed by Joseph Kahn (who recently helmed Mariah Carey and Miguel‘s “#Beautiful” visual). She’s also returning to NBC’s The Voice next spring, so expect to see her perform the new material at some point during the season.
