‘Beyonce’ To Top The Albums Chart For A Second Week

Beyonce‘s surprise fifth album Beyonce didn’t just have a monolithic debut sales week — the superstar is set to follow that up with another week at the top of the charts. Billboard projects that Beyonce will hit #1 for a second consecutive week with sales between 260,000 and 280,000 units for the sales week ending December 22, after she shifted a jaw-dropping 617,000 copies in only three days.

The release remained exclusive to iTunes through yesterday, December 18, while physical copies start hitting retailers over the next few days; those will be included in the second-week sum. (That is, now you know what everybody‘s getting for Christmas.)

As Billboard notes, the more generous of those projections would bring her sales total up to 877,000 — a pretty spectacular feat for any artist this year, which would bring Beyonce into the Top 20 albums of the year. (She’s already sold 1 million copies worldwide on iTunes.)

Just go ahead and continue bowing down, then. As you were.
