Rihanna made The Navy sad by skipping her annual album this year but here’s a little something to get you through these trying times. SRP Records (the label that discovered the superstar) just uploaded a thirty second snippet of a previously unheard demo from 2004 or 2005, presumably called “Baby Brown Eyes”.

It’s a treat to get a dose of old school RiRi. The melodic urban-pop ballad takes you back to a time when the Barbadian babe was best known for catchy island beats and being the wholesome version of Beyonce. (Let that sink in). “Baby Brown Eyes” would have sounded great on Music Of The Sun, hopefully a full version will follow shortly. Until then, check out the snippet after the jump.
