Coldplay performed their potentially Oscar-nominated “Atlas” for the first time ever Thursday night (December 19) in London. A sweaty, jovial Chris Martin mumbled through a sloppy “Fix You” interpolation before leading the band in the Hunger Games: Catching Fire song. It had a particularly U2 feel at the Hammersmith Apollo, with Jonny Buckland‘s guitar lines piercing through the cascading pianos and cymbals during the final crescendo. Despite the song’s newness, an impressive number of fans can be heard singing along.

The performance was part of Under 1 Roof, an event organized which benefits Kids Company, a British organization supporting inner-city youth. Lily Allen and Robbie Williams also performed at the concert.
