Happy New Year, Idolator readers!

We hope you all had a fabulous time ringing in 2014 — your faves sure did! From Miley‘s New Year’s performance (and smooch with Ryan Seacrest) to Nicki Minaj‘s “Boss Ass Bitch” remix to Lady Gaga and Christina Aguilera‘s surprise release of their already iconic sisterhood duet on a newly re-recorded “Do What U Want”, the pop world kept spinning while we entered the new year.

Plus, we’re already looking ahead and asking you to tell us your Most Anticipated Album of 2014. (Have you voted yet? One lucky reader will win a pair of Sol Republic’s Master Tracks XC headphones!) As always, you guys had lots to say. Check out the week’s best comments below!

:: Christina and Gaga’s duet got everyone shaking and crying with joy, including buylotusonitunesnow, who came to a very clear conclusion on Lady Gaga Re-Records “Do What U Want” With Christina Aguilera: Listen To The New Version: “YAAAAAAAAS”

:: MusicManDave had a few more things to say: “Now this is a great collaboration! Xtina is truly an amazing artist. Her vocals soar with GaGa’s making a masterpiece hit record.”

:: And chris92 was busting out his credit card: “First purchase of 2014! Radio better play it too. So amazing!”

:: Cyndi was simply not having the Miley-Ryan smooch on Miley Cyrus’ NYE Celebration Included A Ryan Seacrest Smooch At Midnight: “And could two more overdone media hounds kiss at NYE? Glad I missed it during that special moment. I was watching CNN, thankfully. It’s pretty sad when the silly comedian Griffin is considered tame because the Seacrest show has some cohost grossing people out every time they showed her…”

:: Justin S. loved what he was seeing on Britney Spears’ ‘Piece Of Me’ Show Opens In Las Vegas: Watch: “The only thing i can back up this writer on is the non-live singing. Britney looks hotter than ever and every performance seems to be accompanied by a energetic dance routine. I have yet to watch the more vocal performances such as Lucky, Everytime, or Perfume which i’m sure Britney will step up the vocals more. I already bought by tickets for Aug 16 and i’m very excited! As stated, improvements will be made and hopefully a few “BJ” songs will be added to the setlist but thank GOD she does “Break the ice” now!”

:: But Mike was less impressed: “What happened to the proclamation that she would sing live (and that she always sings live, or did they mean with the microphone off?). Secondly, can we even expect her to improve? I understand that this is the opening night so it can only get better, but someone who is truly dedicated to her craft would not just let the biggest night of the show not be as good as it can be, relying on improvement over time. It’s great to see her dancing a lot more. I give her a lot of credit for stepping it up in that regard. However, as the choreography is both overly simple and not very well executed, I can’t really say she did a great job.”

:: Greg was not adoring Miss Miley’s “Adore You” video — or Miley in general — on Miley Cyrus’ ‘Adore You’ Video: Watch & See Her Response To The Leak: “Honestly, I only have one word for Miley Cyrus…. Just one that comes to mind when I hear her name …… “GROSS.” This girl has the talent to be a staple in this decade of music, and of all the things to be remembered for she’ll have number1, deep throating a sledge-hammer to visualize the emotions of a song about having your heartbroken, and now number 2, flicking her bean in bed and in the tub to visualize the lyrical emotion of a poem that speaks on finding your perfect, designed perfectly by God? Yeeeea (shakes head) …… gross.”

:: Patrick was seriously feeling Nicki’s “Boss Ass Bitch” freestyle on Nicki Minaj Returns With “Boss Ass Bitch” Remix: Listen: “I like this song! It is such a triumphant return to her Hip Hop roots! Kudos to you Nicki Minaj! I ain’t mad at this.”

:: When we asked what albums you were most excited to hear in 2014, Glen M. had the Mighty Aphrodite Kylie Minogue in mind on Most Anticipated Albums of 2014: Vote For Your Favorite: “ATTENTION: All other artists. Get Outta Her Way! Kylie is back and will dominate the charts in 2014. From the very first announcement of Ms Minogue signing with Roc Nation, I thought AMAZE, we need fresh Kylie, something new and something Into the Blue. We won’t be disappointed…”

:: Marcin K. was also spinning around for the disco diva: “Literally bursting to hear Kylie new album and the her new single “INTO THE BLUE”! I am ridiculously excited for new Kylie music. “Into The Blue” sounds so mysterious, you just can’t tell which way it’s going to go. I dream of a beautifully anthemic chorus like the sublime “All the lovers” but with a harder dance beat and reminiscent of “Love at first sight”! ooh yeah, it will be a great year! #KM2014”

:: While Bennett K. had “Work” femcee Iggy Azealea on the brain: “I’m very excited to hear Iggy Azealea’s music this year! She’s a unique female artists that spiced up the game in 2013 so I’m looking forward to what she’s all about!”

:: And finally, Daniel F. couldn’t wait for — well — everyone: “I’m excited to hear what Megan & Liz can deliver since Release You was one of the best singles of 2013. Also can’t wait for Foxes because she’s incredible. But the real standout of 2014 is obviously going to be FIFTH HARMONY!”
