Ke$ha Checks Into Rehab For Eating Disorder

Ke$ha checked into a rehab facility to remedy an eating disorder. “I’m a crusader for being yourself and loving yourself, but I’ve found it hard to practice,” she said in a statement. “I’ll be unavailable for the next 30 days, seeking treatment for my eating disorder, to learn to love myself again. Exactly as I am.”

The Warrior star admitted herself on January 3 to Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Center near Chicago, the same facility that Demi Lovato entered in 2010. Just days prior, Ke$ha released her “Dirty Love” music video, also her directorial debut; there, she poses in lingerie with two male dancers in drag, writhes in a hefty pile of confetti and glitter, and sneers at the camera, reminding viewers of exactly who’s in charge.

What’s disconcerting about this news is that Ke$ha often flaunts and talks about her body, although like in “Dirty Love,” in ways that made her seem like she’s disregarded Hollywood’s overly critical eye. When she stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live, she talked of how her hypnotherapist convinced her to purchase a ghost meter off Amazon, which led to the discovery that a ghost was haunting her vagina.

She also admitted that she’s investigated her past lives, obviously as a warrior princess but also as “really cool” dudes. “I have issues,” she said to Kimmel.

“Have you figured anything out from this stuff?” he asked.

“No. But it’s cool. I love it.”
