John Newman Performs “Love Me Again” On ‘Jimmy Fallon’: Watch

John Newman has found himself in an enviable position this week. Without a major stateside hit under his belt (yet), the 23-year-old UK crooner’s debut album Tribute, which was released yesterday, is sitting nicely at #5 on the US iTunes store. Likewise, lead single “Love Me Again” — already a #1 hit in England and a Top 10 smash across Europe — has shot into the Top 40 on the digital retailer’s song chart.

To promote the American release of his album, Newman is embarking on a small US tour over the next week, which hits New York’s Bowery Ballroom tomorrow evening. While in Manhattan, John hit the Late Night With Jimmy Fallon stage with a full band for a big, rowdy rendition of “Love Me Again.” The singer sounded just a tad hoarse (has the Polar Vortex got him under the weather?), but he more than made up for it with his fancy footwork.

Watch John Newman make his American late night TV debut above, then catch Jimmy Fallon raving about the British newcomer below.
