So what if it’s a new year? Last year’s breakthrough single from Swedish songstress Tove Lo, “Habits,” still deserves to be on heavy rotation well into the new year — and it’s been given new life courtesy of a huge dance refix from DJ duo The Chainsmokers, who transform the melodic original into something glitchy, twitchy and dark.
“The thing with our production lately is we are looking to close the gap between this big kick room house with the huge spacey middle and really melodic full progressive sound and combine it with our love for Indie emotion,” the DJs explained in a post. “[It’s] definitely challenging but we feel we are getting closer and closer.”
