Alphabeat’s Stine Bramsen Debuts “Prototypical”: Watch The Live Performance

Stine Bramsen is stepping away from her status as the adorable, lone girl from Alphabeat, at least for the time being. Don’t worry — the insanely cheery Danish pop act isn’t splitting up, they assure us. Rather, they’re taking a break after nearly ten years of touring and putting forth three solid albums. (Note to self: Time to dig out and play The Spell. But first…)

Stine is making a foray into the solo world, and her first album is due out at some point this year. Getting the ball rolling is lead single “Prototypical,” which Bramsen debuted today via a video showing an expertly-staged live performance of the track. And what does it sound like? You probably never would have pegged the Alphabeat singer as one who has the chops to pull off a soul-rattling, Adele-sized stomper of a song, but here you go.

Watch above and be amazed.
