The Feeling’s ‘Boy Cried Wolf’ Gets February US Release Date: Watch Their “Rescue” Video

Feelgood pop-rock band The Feeling gave us their perfect debut LP Twelve Stops And Home eight years ago, but sadly their two subsequent follow-up albums (Join With Us and Together We Are Made) were denied an American release. The fourth time has proved to be a charm for the UK quartet, however, as their latest, Boy Cried Wolf, will arrive on our shores via BMG on February 18.

The songs that make up the album deal with Feeling frontman Dan Gillespie-Sells‘ emotions following the breakup of a five-year relationship. “It had been a tough year for me when I wrote ‘Rescue’,” he tells Idolator of the lead single from Boy Cried Wolf. “It’s the kind of song that you write when you feel things need to change. Though the lyric can seem sad at points, the song is full of hope.”

Indeed, “Rescue” has the similar ring of The Feeling’s classic songs, like “Never Be Lonely,” “Love It When You Call” and “I Thought It Was Over.” Head below to watch the video for “Rescue.”

The Feeling — “Rescue”

“The video is the first in a series of films we made for the album,” says Dan. “They tell the story of a mysterious character we follow through adulthood into old age in three films. ‘Rescue’, along with the rest of the album, was recorded in our converted pub/studio in East London.”
