Apologies for gushing, but does it get better than Country Club Martini Crew? The Brazilian remix wunderkind has already serviced quick-draw remixes for some of pop’s biggest divas (that remix of “Unconditionally”!), and now he’s gone and given a whole new spin to One Direction‘s Midnight Memories album track “Happily” that’s not just a little better than the original — it’s way better than the original.

Utilizing live vocals and a cheekier, spared-down instrumental track, this version sounds even Mumfordier — more like a rootsy folk-rock stomper of an anthem than a song by the biggest boy band in the world.

Their label may not be too pleased about having their official mix so cannily outdone, but hey — my guess is that the fans will be awful happy.
