Kylie Minogue Has Recorded A Duet Called “Beautiful” With Enrique Iglesias

Kylie Minogue has joined forces with Enrique Iglesias for a duet called “Beautiful”. The collaboration, which apparently happened after the pair expressed mutual admiration for each other’s work, will appear on the Latin superstar’s much-delayed follow-up to 2010’s excellent Euphoria.

This could go either way. They are both global icons and enduring sex symbols with a knack for catchy pop music — so that’s encouraging — but Enrique’s album campaign has been something of a mess with five pre-release singles that have struggled to make much of an impression. Hopefully new Pitbull collab “I’m A Freak” will turn things around before the LP drops in March.

Meanwhile, Kylie’s new single “Into The Blue” (a self-proclaimed return to the dance floor) hits radio on January 20 with an iTunes release to follow on March 16. For some idea of how the diva’s voice will blend with Enrique’s, check out a popular online mash-up of her 2000 single “On A Night Like This” and his recent club banger “Tonight (I’m Fuckin’ You)” after the jump.

Are you excited for the duet? Have your say in the comments below.
