Beyonce And Madonna To Perform At The Grammys

Beyonce will perform at the 56th annual Grammy Awards ceremony on January 26 according to the Los Angeles Times. If Queen Bey does, in fact, grace the stage with her presence, it will mark the first time she has actively promoted new material from her chart-busting fifth album and her first television appearance since last year’s Super Bowl half-time show.

The rumors were brought to the attention of Grammy Awards producer Ken Ehrlich, who responded: “let’s put it this way… we have a really great history that goes back to the early days of Destiny’s Child.” So far, so good. “I love working with [Beyonce],” he added. “She’s incredible. She is so into what it is that she does and making sure that everybody who sees her walks away saying, ‘wow.’”

That almost sounds like a vague confirmation. The next question is what the world-running diva will sing. She’s nominated in Best Rap/Sung Collaboration category with Jay Z for Magna Carta Holy Grail highlight “Part II (On The Run)”  but a maiden performance of top 20 hit “Drunk In Love” would make more sense.

In other Grammy news, Madonna has also been tipped to perform. The addition of those ladies to a line-up that already includes Kendrick Lamar, John Legend, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Daft Punk, Pharrell Williams, Lorde, Metallica, Katy Perry, Pink and Robin Thicke makes for one of the most tantalizing rosters in recent memory.
