Kendrick Lamar Breathes Fire On Studio Remix Of Imagine Dragons’ “Radioactive”: Listen

After their rousing “Radioactive”/”m.A.A.d city” mashup at the Grammys last night (January 26), Kendrick Lamar and Imagine Dragons unveiled a studio remix of “Radioactive.” It’s got that same lumbering chorus and the “breathing in the chemicals” gasp worth a thousand facepalms, but all of that is wiped clean once K-Dot drops in and bodies his verse.

The Compton kid starts off with a calm flow, but slowly builds into a frenzy as he rants about tater tots on his shotgun, martial law and Martians, seamlessly transitioning from his high-pitched manic voice into a heretofore unheard screeching, rabid delivery. If this is how enraged Lamar sounded before getting shut out at the Grammys, we can’t wait to hear what he cooks up after last night’s epic snub. Just go ahead and skip to the 2:35 mark below.
