AHMIR Cover “XO”, Get Beyonce’s Seal Of Approval: Watch
YouTube R&B group covers band AHMIR — trust me, that’s a thing — added Beyonce‘s “XO” to their long list of interpretations and were blessed with Queen Bey’s seal of approval. She posted the vocal group’s version on her Facebook page, declaring “love it!”
And if Beyonce approves, it must be worth a listen. Right? As it turns out, AHMIR turn the bubbly pop song into a Boys II Men-worthy soul ballad. The arrangement is spot on and their harmonies are sublime. Somebody give these guys a record deal! Oh, and if you like “XO”, make sure you check out the band’s version of “Best Thing I Never Had”, which gets a male twist.
