Lady Gaga Assures Fans ‘ARTPOP’ Plan Is “100% Back On Track”

Lady Gaga must be sensing some desperation within the Little Monsters ranks following the massive delay of her “Do What U Want” video, rumors she lost Interscope millions and her revelations of backstabbing and betrayal after the ouster of manager Troy Carter. But Gaga seems to be righting the ship, and took to to reassure her fans that everything is “100% back on track” and the next phase of ARTPOP (Act II, perhaps?) is proceeding according to plan.

“I know you’re anxious for more ARTPOP,” Mother Monster wrote. “I am working so so so so hard and the wait will be worth it. We are 100 percent back on track and I’m busy creating behind the scenes. I miss you so much!”

It doesn’t seem to be all talk. Gaga this week added a European leg to her artRave tour, is likely prepping “Gyspsy” as her next single and may have hit the studio with DJ White Shadow. Sometimes the best way to get through a tough time is to barrel ahead and smother yourself in work, so hopefully this will lead to less drama for Gaga, and more theater.

Is this old flop still banging that tired drum? Move along to obscurity, hunty!

This humbling will let her be a great artist again. She took herself too seriously and a career b*tch slap to bring her back down. I think she got the message.

I mean, as long as we get a video for Do What U Want video before Christmas, and G.U.Y. and Sexxx Dreams become singles I’ll be fine.

sorry i like her muaic but ughh refresh

  6. well well, isn’t it sad that she tried so hard to establish a concept of art in popular culture while Beyoncé’s latest endeavour is actually the real artpop? Artpop is nothing but generic and commodified pop music, it tries so hard to be liked that it drives people away. Beyonce on the other hand decided to focus on the music and the visuals, no marketing hoopla, just a clear focus. LG has to stop giving in to the commercial and cloaking it in pretense, and start focusing on the music…

  7. totally agree with tomas. i think artpop is a disaster and people are going ballistic on me. i think gaga can do better than that and proved it with born this way which is 100% music all the way. gaga doesn’t need all the gimmicks and nonsense. give her a piano and a backup band and let her sing. period.

I don’t see Artpop as a disaster, and I don’t see it as being commercial. Gaga does with her music the opposite of what the formula usually is. She dares to create something different within the illusion of formula pop. That is the art in the pop. No one writes like her. No one would dare do what she does to what appears as commercial (but isn’t). Oh..and the art in the pop…the artpop…isn’t this album…it’s what she’s been doing all these years….the title of the album simply represents her entire music/career, since the beginning.

  10. Gosh…I said something slightly incorrect….in my main comment….I meant to say the art in the pop…the artpop…isn’t JUST this album…it’s what she’s been doing all these years.
