Now this is a match made in EDM heaven. Rising New York-based DJs/producers The Knocks team up with Australian electro-royalty Sneaky Sound System for a fizzy dance anthem called “The One”. Taken from the duo’s forthcoming EP Comfortable, the track is a relentlessly fun journey through different eras of electronic music.

Mixing ’80s synths with bleeps from the ’90s and a splash of early ’00s Daft Punk vocoder realness, “The One” sounds simultaneously fresh and familiar. “Let’s take it fast what’s there to lose, you’re everything to me it’s true,” sings the ever-brilliant Connie Mitchell on the chorus. “You’re my number one.” Listen to the winning collaboration after the jump.
