Disney’s ‘Frozen’ Soundtrack Holds Off Grammy Players On Album Chart

As long as there is snow, there will be the Frozen soundtrack atop the Billboard 200 it seems, Grammy winners and performers be damned. The Disney album racks up a fourth (non-consecutive) week at #1 and another 94,000 copies sold, bringing its grand total to 863,000. The movie’s box office receipts currently stand at $360 million, which is more than double the animated feature’s $150 million budget. Bottom line: There are big bucks to be had with timely, icy silver screen fare.

Predictably, the 2014 Grammy Nominees compilation (87,000) sticks around in the runner-up position following the award show’s broadcast, while winners Lorde (#3), Bruno Mars (#7) and Daft Punk (#10) all jump up on the chart.
