Lily Allen’s “Air Balloon” Video: Watch
Lily Allen was all about that promo Thursday (February 6). In addition to premiering her fizzy Girls soundtrack cut “L8 CMMR,” the British pop star unveiled the video for her forthcoming album’s second single, “Air Balloon.” And while the only way this visual could match the impact of her controversial “Hard Out Here” clip would be if it were, like, a full-on sex tape, it’s still an interesting release.
The bulk of the video takes place in a field with Allen looking like a Coachella rave girl. And while there are no air balloons, nor any regular balloons, That Go’s inventive camerawork makes the whole affair feel weightless. And then… things get weird. Like, human-sized mushrooms and a giant floating crucifix weird.
